Christopher Rinn Assistant Commissioner Christopher Rinn, is the Assistant Commissioner of the Division of Public Health Infrastructure, Laboratories and Emergency Preparedness. He is responsible for the oversight of the state's Emergency Medical Services program, as well the Office of Local Public Health. Mr. Rinn is also responsible for the state's specialized laboratory services, which includes the bioterrorism lab that is a member of the nationwide Laboratory Response Network designed for rapid response to public health emergencies. Prior to joining the Department, Mr. Rinn served as Executive Director of EMS and Governmental Affairs for Jersey City Medical Center where he led the EMS Department's first strategic planning initiative. Mr. Rinn has long been an advocate of quality and performance improvement. Under Christopher's leadership, Jersey City Medical Center EMS became one of the nation's first EMS organization to achieve triple accreditation in communications, education, and operations. A graduate of Columbia University, Mr. Rinn has over 22 years of experience in public health and emergency services including working as an EMT, Dispatcher, Paramedic, Supervisor, Tour Chief, Operations Coordinator, Assistant Director and Executive Director for Jersey City Medical Center. |
