Nancy Day

Acting Assistant Commissioner
Division of Aging and Community Services

Nancy Day is a 15-year veteran of the Department of Health and Senior Services, and has served in a variety of administrative positions and assisted in the development and implementation of special initiatives including the Aging and Disability Resource Connection (ADRC), Systems Transformation, Global Options for Long-Term Care, and Money Follows the Person programs. Additional responsibilities have included overseeing the Area Agencies on Aging, Adult Protective Services, Statewide Respite Care Program, and Health and Wellness.

Ms. Day holds a Bachelor of Science degree in social work/psychology/political science.

Ms. Day joined state government in 1995 – first with the Department of Community Affairs, Division Aging and since 1996 has been with the Department of Health and Senior Services, Division on Aging and Community Services. Her thirty-years of public service includes serving as a director of an employment-training program for older adults, home care administrator, and assistant director of a county area agency on aging.
