Public Guardian & Elder Rights
This office administers public guardianship and adult protective services.
- Public Guardian -The Office of the Public Guardian makes legal, financial and healthcare decisions for individuals aged 60 and older who have been determined by a Superior Court judge to be incapacitated.
- Adult Protective Services (APS) -This program investigates reports of suspected abuse, neglect and exploitation of vulnerable adults living in the community. Click here to find the APS agency in your county.
Money Management Program (MMP)
This program of the AARP Foundation uses volunteers to help low-income older adults or people with disabilities who have difficulty budgeting, paying routine bills and keeping track of financial matter. To find an MMP in your county, click here.
